We took an overnight trip to Macau to visit my cousin and aunt. Macau has been transformed in the past 10 years with an influx of foreign investment to fuel the casino industry. Hotels from Las Vegas have been literally duplicated, like the Wynn and Venetian, and brought to Macau. What’s interesting is the old Macau that still bears the Portuguese influence in their buildings and even with their food. The most important food being the portuguese egg tart. Having tasted both, I believe that the ones in Macau are actually better than the ones in Portugal. Yes, I said it.
